BIOGRAPHY

Andy Turner began his career with a chance audition at the prestigious Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance, where his raw, untapped talent earned him only one of ten award places. Following further training at the Northern Contemporary School of Dance, he went on to enjoy a successful career as a professional dancer. Since then, Andy has applied his love of dance, music and theatre toward a career in choreography, creative direction and stage direction, establishing himself as one of the UK’s most visionary Creative Directors.

VISIONARY STORY TELLER

I have always had a passion for storytelling. There is something very special about taking people on a journey, watching their reactions, and creating emotional connections. Live shows are the perfect way to do this. There is an energy and excitement that comes from watching the audience’s reaction to an idea you have brought to life that you can’t find anywhere else.

But, when the live show is finished the experience is over.

ThE ToYMaKeR’s KeY was originally going to be a film and theatre production, but the universe had a different direction for it.

When the world changed 2+ years ago with Covid the live show and film industry came to a grinding halt. I had to rethink how to get ThE ToYMaKeR’s KeY on the right path and that path led me to the comic industry.

Creating something unique with a Graphic Novel, Cinematic Motion Comic and Original Soundtrack has been an unbelievable experience that created something timeless that can be enjoyed time and time again.

The goal was to create something that would capture the hearts of the audience that would be remembered and a relatable story that would be shared. I’m happy to say that I think we’ve succeeded. When everything comes together and the audience is transported to another world, there is nothing better. That’s why I love storytelling.
